This peaceful lagoon reflects the lighthouse and surrounding foliage lining the banks of the water. The diagonal line, slashing across from top left to just below middle right, caused by the palms, lighthouse and trees, aids in pulling the viewer in and around the painting. The mirrored images in the reflective water give great depth and excitement to the painting.
