Darkness is broken by the colorful shapes of the pears as light from the right floods in, highlighting the fruit and casting dark shadows from one fruit to another. Pears have such a wonderful spherical shape to aid in displaying the highlights and shadows. The variety of pears lend colors to the darkness.
